Born and raised in New York, Christianna Carmine had spent much of her early life as a stage actor, and harbored a strong interest in the human condition. As she began to amass a body of stage credits, her fascination with human nature continued to grow, influencing her work as a performer, and leading her to study psychology at the graduate level.
After completing her master’s degree in psychology with a focus on criminal sociopathy, Christianna decided to throw that grad school education right out the window to pursue a career in acting where she appeared in films, television shows and more than 40 national commercials. Eventually, she retired from acting to focus her efforts on directing while coaching young actors for film and television.
As a director, Christianna’s films have screened at over 50 festivals internationally including academy qualifiers LA Shorts Fest and BronzeLens Film Festival, and have won multiple awards including Best International Film, Best Director, and Best Comedy. In 2022, Christianna directed her first commercial ad campaign for the popular online brand, Adore Me and in early 2024, she was selected as one of six fellows to participate in Alliance of Women Directors Rising Directors Fellowship program. Most recently, Christianna was invited to join Mighty Studios’ roster of directors which she couldn’t be more excited about.
As a private and on-set acting coach, where she's somehow found herself often working with teen and tween performers, Christianna utilizes her experience as an actor as well as her enviable-ish ability to relate to and understand Millennials and Gen Z’ers (when they're not hypnotized by Tik Tok). Her clients have worked on feature films alongside notable actors including Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson and Adam Sandler. Most recently, Christianna completed a long stint as an acting coach on the set of the action comedy feature Back in Action starring Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx.
When not working behind the camera, Christianna is passionate about supporting environmental issues, LGBTQ+ rights, parity in the workplace and cancer research. She enjoys creating socially relevant content through comedy, traveling, watching anything that involves serial killers, and making people laugh.
