  • Part lecture, part lab The Beginning Actor: A Director’s Perspective, not only starts with the basic principles of acting, but also covers the business of the working actor, the Do’s and Don’ts of Auditioning, and working on set/stage with one’s cast-mates, director and crew.

  • Ongoing Scene Study classes are open to all students who have been working for two years (newer actors must take two months of The Beginning Actor: A Directors’ Perspective, before joining ongoing scene study).

  • Christianna coaches actors privately on auditions, to strengthen their acting skills, or in some cases, as part of their curriculum (common among home-schooled actors). She has also worked as an on-set coach on several productions, most recently Netflix's action-comedy film, Back in Action starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz.

About

4C9F6E65-BA8F-32A6-86A996A4597CDC2EEdited.jpg

Born and raised in New York, Christianna Carmine had spent much of her early life as a stage actor, and harbored a strong interest in the human condition. As she began to amass a body of stage credits, her fascination with human nature continued to grow, influencing her work as a performer, and leading her to study psychology at the graduate level.

After completing her master’s degree in psychology with a focus on criminal sociopathy, Christianna decided to throw that grad school education right out the window to pursue a career in acting where she appeared in films, television shows and more than 40 national commercials. Eventually, she retired from acting to focus her efforts on directing while coaching young actors for film and television.
